The Rao Quan was a fast moving river flowing north to south past the 558 area. When we in Golf 3 crossed the river on our patrol to 950 etc we had to cut the bamboo in order to make poles so we could hold onto to each other via the bamboo pole so we could get some balance etc so the rushing water didn’t run away with us guys.
