Chaplin’s Nomads

It’s been over 41 years since I first saw the “Chaplin’s Nomads”  sign posted out in front of the 2/26 rear area at Phu Bai.   It was around the  end of Sept 1967  when  three radiomen – Bill Maves, Larry Flanagan and myself first reported into the 2/26   — H&S Company people in charge of the radiomen.

As it turned out, Me and Flanagan ended up in the 81s Platoon, whereas Bill Maves stayed with the Comm Platoon.

Anyway,  there’s still some questions lingering as far as WHO came up with the nickname of the NOMADS!

I am still not sure of the details,  but I am always ready to help set the records straight,  if possible.  But later on that stuff,  as we unfold the old photos and maybe even some of the E-mail words etc.
