I talked to Gordon Brown about eight or nine years ago. He sent me some seven or eight photos and he told me he had been to the San Diego reunion. He also changed his name after Nam and now he goes by the name of Gordon Colluci.
Anyway I am sending a couple of his flicks. IF you dont see them here on the page then I have also attached them
The first one here is of Gordon and five others including me, Freddy Johnson, Steve “Smiley Sintek, Sullins, and a guy names Haynes or Hayes – who might be the Forrest Hayes you have mentioned.Just guessing on that though.

The next photo is a picture of Gordon and Smiley Sintek somewhere around the Phu Bai area. From talking to Gordon Smiley Sintek was a good friend and I think they were both in Hotel 60s before they came to 81s.
Anyway Rod, this is great that you were able to find these guys. I hope we see them in San Antoine

Fellow 81 Mortars Platoon Members,
I spoke to Frederick Johnson and Gordon Brown this evening. Both are very much interested in coming to San Antonio in July. Coop, I think I have the correct email addresses for Frederick (Freddy) and Gordon this time. Gordon made it to Khe Sanh with us but rotated out January 21. He went to the reunion in San diego in 2000, I believe, and he had made contact with Steve Sintex, who lives in san Diego, but didin’t gety to see him. His # is 208-233-1319. Some of you might remember Steve. Freddy’s phone # is 316-524-5516.
I am forwarding the hotel information that Coop sent me back in December. Most of us are planning to be there there the 16, 17 and 18 but the Khe Sanh Reunion starts on July 11th and runs through the 18th.
